My first academic publication was an op-ed piece in Morgenbladet in 1994, with the title ”Misusing the freedom of expression” (in Norwegian). The most important so far is the book Sound Media. From live journalism to musical recording (Routledge, 2008). Through the years I have studied media with different approacheds, and dealt with several different media. When I was made a full professor in 2012 the evaluation committee wrote that I have a credible competence in three fields; technology, participation and medium design, and that I show knowledge about central questions in the theory of science related to each field.
